I personally find the best way to make sure things are never awkward is doing something potentially immensely awkward right up front. So, in that light, we're going to spend the day hanging out. Kinda.
I haven't used Blogger in years and don't recall how the image sizing works. You can click my amazingly artful screenshots to see a bigger version, should ya need to.
It occurred to me I have no idea how to actually kick this off. My mornings are usually me waking up three minutes before work and running through this Mr Bean routine so I'm not late. I don't know how to really show you that. Picture the three stooges except there's only one of them, he's half asleep, and having much more trouble than they do with simple tasks.
So here, instead I'll make breakfast.
Yeah, I haven't actually eaten breakfast in a few years and barely have any idea what that's supposed to look like, but hey. Once you're done visually consuming this awesome meal and totally not commenting on the texture, I unfortunately have to go to work. That was sure fun, eh?
It's a pretty short walk from my little box to work, and there's even a shortcut.
Honestly, I like this bit of the walk much more in the winters when I'm on my way back from work - the air gets that sort of frozen quiet to it and it's dark out. The lights kinda just hang there. It's nice. But regardless, it's still a decent way to start my day, so I suggest we stop here for a smoke, which is really kinda required to start the day.
Google shockingly doesn't offroad their robo-cars over barriers and down little mud paths such as this shortcut, so we get to skip the spring muck. I'm probably late, so we'll also skip getting coffee at the gas station. Best terrible coffee in town.
I totally forgot to send myself the picture of my "office", but this will do. My job description here is incredibly long and sounds very impressive, but if you just stare at this picture for nine hours, take some smoke breaks, and move your mouse around when anyone walks past, you've pretty much just spent my day at work!
Flew by, no? You're a champ for hanging in there with me, especially when that German guy from the shop came up to say hi and we more or less just made weird noises at eachother for a few minutes. If you're down - supper? I'm afraid you'll have to drive.
For the record I totally blame society for me not knowing what breakfast is all about, and hold this as empirical evidence of it's complicity in my ignorance. Don't worry, today is NOT the day we're going to find out what a brekwihes tastes like - little more driving yet.
Yeah, we went to FSJ. And to Wendy's. I'm a bit broke right at the second, but as far as trash food goes, it's... well it's edible. I covered gas, or food, or both, or neither. I don't know what people do in terms of travel and food expenses in digital situations.
And yes, I did totally forget while planning this out that there is a Wendy's in Dawson now, but there's another reason we're out here.
I'm gonna be a bit brash and assume you're a natural beauty type of person. Google doesn't cater to bizarre online get togethers and neither it nor I have any really nice pictures of places I like around town. This did have this one though.
By my math, I got off work at 6 or so. The drive would have been roughly an hour, putting us here at 7. We'll say Wendy's was on fire or something, so our food took a little longer, which puts us at 7:45, with a 10 minute drive or so to this place being 7:55. Sunset's at 9:20 or so.
That's the day. :)
